On March 8, 2014, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics is launching a new cosmetic created to benefit women and girls – Pretty Powerful Mascara.

The limited edition mascara was created to benefit the Pretty Powerful Campaign for Women & Girls, and its launch coincides with Women’s History Month.

The mascara is in a pink vial, decorated with the brand’s logo in a black script font.

This global charity initiative was first created in 2013, through a partnership with Girl Rising, a social action campaign designed to empower women and girls through education.

Bobbi Brown, founder/CCO, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, commented:

“Pretty Powerful is a campaign that focuses on confidence. Nothing makes a woman or girl feel more confident than being educated and gaining the knowledge and skills to better her life and the lives of her family and community. Now that is pretty powerful.”

Every cent of the retail price of Pretty Powerful Mascara will be donated to The Girl Rising Fund, a 501c3 fund, operated by Tides Foundation, which drives resources to effective girl-empowerment programs in the developing world.

Donations to the fund are evenly distributed among seven NGO partners including A New Day Cambodia, Girl Up, Room to Read, CARE, World Vision, Partners in Health and Plan.

Bobbi Brown Cosmetics is also planning a series of global events for March 2015, around the launch of a new Pretty Powerful cosmetic product that will be sold internationally.

The campaign hopes to eventually create increased awareness, on a global level, about the barriers to education that millions of girls around the world face each day that boys do not.
